Description
Jones Mound is located on Beaufort Sea coast, 2 mi. SW of Milne Point and 8 mi. W of Beechey Point, Arctic Plain.
History
Named and used as a triangulation station in 1911 by Leffingwell (1919, p. 41), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
