In the De Long Mountains, flowing NNE to Iligluruk Creek, 17 mi NW of Tupik Mountain.
History
So named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists because of several "spike" or temporary camps located on its banks by a U.S.Geological Survey field party in 1950.
