On the N slope of the De Long Mountains, flowing ENE to the Utukok River, 3 mi downstream from the mouth of Driftwood Creek, Arctic Slope.

Named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists in 1950 because its drainage pattern may indicate geological structure.
