Lookout River is located heads in lake, flows E to Awuna River, 140 mi. SE of Wainwright, Arctic Slope
History
So named in 1925 by Gerald FitzGerald, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), after Lookout Ridge. The Eskimo name for this stream is "Kolaktok."
