Description
Heading on the N slope of Okiotak Peak, flowing NE to the Sadlerochit River, 2 mi upstream from the mouth of Fire Creek, 7.5 mi. SW of the junction with Kekiktuk River, 23 mi. NW of Mount Michelson, Brooks Range.
History
Eskimo name obtained in 1956 by Orth meaning "red fox."
