Description
North Star Island is located on Beaufort Sea coast, in Maguire Is., 3 mi. NW of Flaxman Is., Arctic Plain.
History
Named by Leffingwell (1919, p. 98) about 1913 after the schooner North Star of the Canadian Arctic Expedition.
