Description
Duchess Island is located on Beaufort Sea coast, in Maguire Is., 4 mi. NW of Flaxman I., Arctic Plain. 2 miles long.
History
Named by Leffingwell 1919, p. 95) in 1913 for the schooner Duchess of Bedford of the Anglo-American Polar Expedition, 1906-07.
