Description
Cape Sabine is located at mouth of Pitmegea River extends into Chukchi Sea, 39 mi. NW of Mount Kelly, Arctic Slope.
History
Named in 1826 by Captain Beechey (1831, chart facing p. 328), Royal Navy (RN), presumably for General Sir Edwin Sabine.
