Description
Heads on Syncline Mountains, in the Talkeetna Mountains, flows N to Alfred Creek, 57 mi. NE of Palmer, 94 mi NE of Anchorage.
History
Local name reported in 1952 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), but probably has been used prior to this date. So named because there was an abandoned sawmill along the stream near Alfred Creek.
