Copper River Basin, in the course of Eureka Creek, on Glenn Highway, 1.3 mi NE of Tahneta Pass, 62 mi. NE of Palmer, and 97 mi NE of Anchorage.

Named in 1956 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), derived from the nearby Tahneta Pass.
