Bonanza Creek is located heads at Bonanza Hills, flows SW to Mulchatna River, 50 mi. NW of Nondalton, Alaska Range; 28 miles long.

Local name reported in 1954 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); derived from the Bonanza hills at the head of the stream.
