Description
American Creek is located flows NW, through Murray and Hammersly Lakes, then S to Lake Coville, in Katmai National Monument, on Alaska Peninsula, 45 mi. NW of Mount Katmai, Aleutian Range; 50 miles long.
History
Named in 1950 by Bill Hammersly of King Salmon, local prospector.
