Description
Nest Island is located in Kiliuda Bay, on SE coast of Kodiak I.
History
Descriptive name given in 1930 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), "Because of duplications of the name Parrot * * *. The field party * * * called the group of islands located here Parrot Islands because hundreds of sea-parrots have the top of this island honeycombed with burrows * * *."
