Description
East Channel Island is located in Wide Bay, S of Coal Point, on S coast of Alaska Peninsula, 13 mi. SW of Kanatak, Aleutian Range. 0.5 mile long.
History
Descriptive name given in 1923 by US@C&GS "because of its location east of the main channel to Wide Bay."
