Description
Akhiok Island is located on W shore of Alitak Bay, at S end of Kodiak I. 1.6 miles wide.
History
Named in 1934 for Akhiok Bay and village by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). It was previously called Round Island by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
