Seredni Point is located on S shore of Low I. Anchorage, 10 mi. NW of Kodiak, Kodiak I.
History
Transliteration of "M(ys) Sredniy," the name given by Sub-Lt. Mikhail Murashev, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), in 1839 or 1840 and published in 1849 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1425. Baker (1906, p. 434) published "Middle Cape," the translation of Murashev's name. Because of duplication the name was changed to its present form by US@C&GS in 1909.
