Icehouse Point is located on W coast of Woody I., 1.8 mi. E of Kodiak, Kodiak I.
History
Descriptive name given in late 1800's (?) by US@C&GS. See Icehouse Lake. Named "M(ys) Pyeshchanoye," meaning "sandy cape," by Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 16), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
