Description
Alitak Bay is located at S end of Kodiak I. 7 miles wide.
History
Native name published in 1869 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). This bay was called Yagekhtalyk by Sarichev (1826, map 3) and was published as Kaniat (Alitak) by Bancroft (1886, p. 145).
