Name published as "Nub Hill" by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1913, but spelling was changed by Board on Geographic Names (BGN) at the recommendation of Andrew Braid, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS).
