Extends NE 22 mi. from Iniskin Bay to Chinitna Bay along the W coast of Cook Inlet, bounded on the NW by Bowser Creek and Fitz Creek; Aleutian Range
History
Named in 1903 by G. C. Martin (1905, pl. 4), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because the beds of resistant rock tilt to the SE. name was applied to another ridge 6 miles to the west; the error was corrected in 1963 by R. L. Detterman, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
