Description
Juneau Creek is located on Kenai Peninsula, flows NW to Mills Creek, 16 mi. S of Sunrise, Chugach Mts.
History
Local name reported in 1904 by F. H. Moffit, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), as being the correct name for a stream which hertofore was called "Junior Creek" (Baker, 1906, p. 339). D. H. Sleem published the name "Juneau Creek," on his map of Central Alaska, dated 1910.
