McNeil River is located heads at a glacier at 5856N, 15440W, flows NE to Mcneil Cove, 34 mi. SW of Augustine I., Aleutian Range
History
Named for Charlie Mcneil, a rancher in the area, and reported by R. H. Sargent, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1923. The name was published by K. F. Mather (in Brooks and others, 1925, pl. 3).
