Description
Fox River is located on Kenai Peninsula, heads at terminus of Cherof Glacier, flows SW of Homer, Cook Inlet Low. 27 miles long.
History
Name reported by Dall (1895, pl. 51) U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and may have been named for Theodore Fox, Vice-President of the North Pacific Mining and Transportation Co., which was operating in Kachemak Bay in 1894.
