Description
Heads on the W slope of Crater Peak, 3 km (1.9 mi) S of Mount Spurr, in the Tordrillo Mountains in the Alaska Range. Trends SSE to its 1958 terminus 1.6 km (1 mi) N of the Chakachatna River and 61 km (38 mi) WNW of Tyonek.
History
Named in association with Crater Peak, which was named by S. R. Capps and R. H. Sargent, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "when they discovered and mapped the crater-like peak in 1927". (AK-T1/p245)
