Description
Harpoon Glacier is located in Tordrillo Mts., heads on Mount Torbert, trends SW to its terminus at Nagishlamina River, 52 mi. NW of Tyonek, Alaska Range. 9 miles long.
History
Named in 1927 by S. R. Capps and R. H. Sargent (in Smith and others, 1930, pl. 1,2), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); "suggested by the outline of the glacier on our map."
