Description
Marmot Valley is located near head of Rhine Creek, 0.5 mi. SW of North Rhine Peak and 8 mi. SE of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Local name reported in 1965 by D. A. Brew and A. B. Ford, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Named for the hoary marmot (Marmota caligata).
