Description
Limestone Bluffs is located on N shore of Limestone Inlet, Stephens Passage, 25 mi. SE of Juneau, Coast Mts.
History
Named in 1869 by Commander R. W. Meade, U.S. Navy (USN) (in Baker, 1906, p. 404), who says, "* * * From a remarkable looking streak on the side of the mountain forming the west side of the inlet I called it 'Limestone Inlet' and the mountain 'Limestone Bluff'." This name does not appear on current maps.
