In Tongass National Forest, extends E and W, between the valleys of Salmon Creek and Lemon Creek and 3.8 mi NNW of Juneau, Coast Mts. 3 miles long.

History

Named byU.S. Forest Service (USFS)in 1960 for Alva W. Blackerby, who served 16 years with the U.S. Forest Service in the Juneau, Alaska, area and was killed in an airplane accident while fighting a forest fire in Idaho in August 1960.
