Description

White Thunder Ridge is located trends SE from Muir Glacier to W shore of Muir Inlet, 44 mi. SW of Skagway, St. Elias Mts.

History

Named by Douglas Brown, American Geographical Society, who established a photographic station on the summit in 1946. Named from the noise the discharging front of the glaciers. The name was published by the American Geographical Society. (Field, 1947, pl. 1).
