Gauntlet Island is located in Takanis Bay, on SW coast of Yakobi I., off W coast of Chichagof I., Laex. Arch. 0.2 mile long.
History
Descriptive name given in 1928 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) "because of its (glove-like) shape." The name was published in 1929 on Chart 8260.
