Description
Triangle Island is located at N end of Queen Inlet, on Glacier Bay, in Glacier Bay National Monument, 1.7 mi. S of terminus of Carroll Glacier and 71 mi. NW of Hoonah , St. Elias Mts.
History
Named in 1892 by Reid (1896, pl. 86), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "because of the shape of the island."
