Description
Queen Inlet is located on Glacier Bay, Glacier Bay National Monument, 1 mi. N of Composite I. and 68 mi. NW of Hoonah, St. Elias Mts.
History
Named in 1892 by Reid (1896, p. 422) U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for the Steamship (SS) Queen, which was the first ship to sail to the upper part of Glacier Bay.
