Pitt Island is located on W shore of Port Frederick, on Chichagof I., 0.2 mi. SW of Hoonah, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1880 by the U.S. Navy and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 191). It is called Harbor I. in an 1880 Hydrographic Office notice.
