Description
Saw Point is located in South Passage, at mouth of Eliza Harbor, on Admiralty I., 27 mi. SE of Angoon, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1889 by Lieutenant Commander H. B. Mansfield, U.S. Navy (USN), and published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 142). "So named because of the sunken rocks and ledges along it (the point of land)."
