Description
Pybus Bay is located on E coast of Admiralty I., 5 mi. W of The Brothers and 53 mi. E of Sitka, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1889 by Lieutenant Commander H. B. Mansfield, U.S. Navy (USN); published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 143). The name was derived from Point Pybus, which marks the northeast entrance to the bay.
