Square Cove is located on W coast of Admiralty I., 33 mi. N of Angoon, Alex. Arch.
History
Descriptive name given in 1880 by M. Baker, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS); published in 1883 Coast Pilot (p. 179). So named because the head of the cove is square in shape.
