On the Alaska-Canada boundary about 3 mi E of the point at which the Kelsall River Crosses the boundary, 2.6 mi. NW of Hiteshitak Mtn. and 33 mi. NW of Skagway, St. Elias Mts.

History

Named by the United States and Canada in 1927 for R. N. Ashmum, employed by U.S. section of the International Boundary Commission (IBC).
