Description
Flemer River is located heads in British Columbia, flows SE 12 mi. to Tahini River, 2 mi. W of Mount Raymond, 28 mi. WNW of Skagway; Saint Elias Mountains
History
named by Canada in 1951 for John Adolph Flemer, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), who had general charge of two surveying parties in 1898 making topographic surveys of the area near the head of Lynn Canal. He was one of the original surveyors (1904-05) with the International Boundary Commission (IBC) while making Sheet 9 (1951 atlas).
