Pungokepuk Lake is located trends SW to head of Pungokepuk Creek, 18 mi. SW of Togiak Lake and 64 mi. NE of Goodnews, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1948 or 1949, by Frank Waskey, local trader and prospector, as "Pangokeput Lake."
