Description
Etolin Point is located between Kvickak and Nushagak Bays, 30 mi. SE of Dillingham, Bristol Bay Low.
History
Name reported in 1828 by Captain Lutke (1836, map 14), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "M(ys) Etolin" and "C(ap) Etoline"; named for Captain Adolph Karlovich Etolin, governor of the Russian-American colonies from 1841 to 1845, who explored this region in 1821.
