Big Sands is located in Nushagak Bay between its Middle and West Channels, 22 mi. SW of Dillingham, Bristol Bay Low.; 3 miles long.
History
Local name reported in 1950 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). Nushagak Bay shoals are subject to constant change in location and depth.
