Description
Togiak Bay is located extends SW from Togiak River to Hagemeister I. and E 25 mi. from Tongue Point to mouth of Neguthlik River, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1849 as "Zaliv Tugiak," meaning "Tugiak Bay," by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 4), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). It was called "Togiak Bay" by Ivan Petroff in 1880 Census.
