Description
Castle Rock is located in Denali National Park, W of Sunset Glacier terminus, 4.5 mi. SSE of Eielson Visitor Center, Alaska Range
History
So named in 1931 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) because the "very large irregular rocks on this peak give it the appearance, from a distance, of an old castle."
