Located in Denali National Park, heads west of Muldrow Glacier and flows north and west to East Fork Clearwater Creek, 13 miles southeast of Wonder Lake, Alaska Range; the two branches forming its headwaters flow parallel with the west side of Muldow Glacier, which runs through the ridge west of the glacier.
History
So named in 1923 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), because "the drainage of this creek is a good illustration of stream piracy."
