Description
The Twaharpies are located in the University Range between the heads of Hawkins and Twaharpie Glaciers, about 58 km (36 mi) E of McCarthy, St. Elias Mts.
History
The Twaharpies consist of three peaks named Aello, Celeno and Ocypete; the name Twaharpie is derived from Greek mythology and refers to predatory "monsters that carried off souls."
