Description
Mount Eyak is located between Orca Inlet and Eyak Lake, 2 mi. N of Cordova, Chugach Mts.
History
Name derived from the Eskimo village of the Ugalakmiut ("far people"), once located at the entrance to Port William Sound. Name reported by H. E. Smith, U.S. Forest Service (USFS), in 1933.
