Description
Mount Goode is located near head of Knik Glacier, 42 mi. SE of Palmer, Chugach Mts.
History
Named in 1924 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for Richard Urquhart Goode, 1858-1903, "Geographer, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in charge of the Pacific Division, Topographic Branch, at the time the first work in Alaska was executed." See Farquhar (1959, p. 221).
