Description
Kokinhenik Island is located at mouth of Copper River, 21 mi. NW of Katalla, Malaspina Coastal Plain.
History
Indian name reported in 1897 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), as "Coquenhena"; written by H. P. Ritter, USG&GS, in 1898 as "Kokinhenic" and "Kokin Henik."
