Description
Childs Glacier is located trends SE ot its terminus at Copper River, 32 mi. NW of Katalla, Chugach Mts. 8 miles long.
History
Named by Captain W. R. Abercrombie, USA, "after George Washington Childs, of Philadelphia," during Abercrombie's earlier exploration on the Copper River in 1884.
