Description
Point Pigot is located between Pigot Bay and Passage Canal, 12 mi. NE of Hittier, Chugach Mts.
History
Named by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), in 1794 "probably in honor of Robert Pigot, one of the midshipmen on the (English vessel) Chatham" (Wagner, 1937, p. 402).
